The EWE Baskets Oldenburg have landed a transfer coup by signing former NBA player Chris Clemons. The 28-year-old American comes from French first-division club SLUC Nancy and brings speed, athleticism, and points to the team. Oldenburg coach Predrag Krunic is convinced that Clemons will be an important player for his team. Clemons made 35 appearances in the NBA for the Houston Rockets and also played in the G-League and in China. The EWE Baskets Oldenburg are one of the teams that have strengthened themselves the most in the current season. With new point guard Chris Clemons, they hope to improve their chances in the BBL. Brazilian center Marcio Santos moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv and was replaced by Malik Osborne, who comes from the Rostock Seawolves. Osborne impressed with his physicality and athleticism, scoring 12.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The Löwen Braunschweig have a major overhaul ahead of them after the departure of coach Jesus Ramirez. However, one constant remains: the team will continue to focus on developing young talent. To this end, boss Nils Mittmann likes to mix in experienced professionals. Philipp Hartwich is set to play a key role on the big positions next season. The 2.18-meter-tall BBL veteran comes from Rostock and has previously played for Syntainics MBC, BG Göttingen, and FIT/One Würzburg Baskets.
