Oldenburg (dpa) - Milenko Bogicevic, a 49-year-old Serbian coach, has been appointed as the new head coach of EWE Baskets Oldenburg. He was previously working for Ligarivalen Syntainics MBC. Bogicevic is known in German basketball as a long-time assistant coach of Sasa Obradovic. Both worked together at Alba Berlin from 2012 to 2016. "Milenko brings enormous experience from over ten years in the highest European competitions. He has proven his qualities as a head coach in recent years", said Oldenburg's sports director Srdjan Klaric. Bogicevic will now lead the team of EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). The EWE Baskets Oldenburg achieved good results in the previous season and will fight for promotion to the playoffs in the new season. The new coach will now train the team and motivate the players to achieve the team's goals.
